🐟 How to Play

You Are the Fish

You control a fish automatically swimming downstream toward the ocean. The background scrolls to give the sense of movement through the river. Bubbles trail behind you, and the depth meter ticks up as you dive deeper.

Fork in the River

At each decision point, 3 river channels appear. Each channel is shown as a card — some clearly labelled SAFE (green ✓) or DANGER (red ✗), while others may be hidden behind fog on harder difficulties. Tap or click the channel you want to take!

Avoid Fishermen

Danger channels have a fisherman lurking with a baited hook. If you swim into one, you lose a life! You can see the fishing line dangling in danger channels. On harder modes, some channels are fogged out — you won't know until you try!

Bonus Channels

Occasionally a BONUS channel appears, marked in gold. It's always safe AND worth +500 points instead of the usual +100. Jump at them whenever you see one — they're rare treasures on your journey!

6 Stages to the Ocean

Navigate through 6 river stages: Forest Stream → Valley River → Mountain Pass → White Rapids → River Delta → 🌊 OCEAN! Each stage has more forks to navigate and more danger channels. Clearing each stage earns a +300 bonus. Reach the ocean to win!

Difficulty

🐟 Fry: 5 lives, all channels visible, easiest
🐠 Salmon: 3 lives, some channels fogged
🐡 Tuna: 2 lives, 50% channels fogged — risky!

Scoring

Safe channel: +100 pts
Bonus channel: +500 pts!
Stage cleared: +300 pts
All 6 stages = massive total
Best score saved automatically

Tips

On easy: count danger channels — if 2 are red, the 3rd is safe
Bonus channels are ALWAYS safe — take them!
Fogged channels: guess wisely or take known safe ones
Later stages have more danger channels per fork
